- It took forever to put this thing together. It's definitely a two-man job. Very awkward placement of screw holes in tight places that require midgit hands. The H2 barrel nuts were the worst - kept falling out and have to be turned exactly right to fit the machine bolts. Also, the threads on one of the barrel nuts was not tooled properly and would not accept the screw so I had to order a new one. Called MDB and talked to a nice lady who was American not foreign (I was sure I would be routed to India or somewhere foreign). She shipped the part right out. Once together though it is a very nice piece - sturdy and crisp design.
- Ordered this only based off of reviews and also the size I needed for the baby's room. Wasn't sure I would like it, but I do. Assembly was okay, but the instructions don't help much. You have to use common sense on some things. I was worried about finding a mattress to fit. THIS IS THE TIP FOR A MATTRESS: Order the 5 inch Davinci Mini Mattress that is also on Amazon (CRESCENT MINI CRIB 50 COIL MATTRESS)...it fits like a glove and is a great mattress option for this crib, even though it is 5 inches thick. I like the thickness as oppposed to some of the other options that seem flimsy.
