- Well, after using only Huggies for over 18 months, I finally decided to switch to Pampers and see the difference. I must say, I'm very impressed by the softness of the Pampers. That's really the only thing they have going for them. Other than than they are a bit wide in the between the legs area and are too perfumed! They also tend to bulge more than Huggies when wet. - These diapers work very well, and although the style periodically changes as I've read others mentioning, they are good. The latest shipment I received no longer has a yellow stripe that turns blue to show when it's wet, but that's not really essential to me, as the fullness of the diaper tells me what I need to know. The one thing that I do like is that the inner lining (which touches baby's bottom) is the smooth material, as opposed to the mesh lining which I've heard others found was not as comfortable for the baby.
